We use payPal
to handle all of our Credit Card transactions
- why?
PayPal is a highly respected
service , that is extensivly used by on-line auction
sellers. So much so, that at the end of last year
eBay.com purchased PayPal, and has integrated
the PayPal services into its auction site, at
the expense of it's own eBay Payments service.
Thus PayPal is part of one of the biggest global
internet companies there is. It offers a safe,
secure service which is trusted by millions of
users. Originally, PayPal could only accept payments
in US dollars, but recently that has also changed,
and now payments can also be made in Pounds Sterling
as well as Euros and Yen (but we prefer good old
British pounds!).
However, PayPal is not only
used by auction sellers, as it also offers tools
for dedicated eCommerce websites, like this one!
They provide the Shopping cart and Checkout facilities
that we use, at very reasonable rates, which allows
us to keep our costs down - savings that we can
pass on to our customers. It also means that the
credit card transactions are carried out on their
secure servers.
If you already have a PayPal
account, you will be familiar with how it works,
and as part of the Checkout process, you will
be able to use your existing PayPal account to
pay for your order.
So in summary, PayPal provide facilities that
are simple to use for both customers and us, is
safe and secure, and great value, which we all
benefit from!
